Important
Please load worlds in this version if you want to prevent corruption in future releases. Essentially, don't skip this update. It fixes an issue with world saves that I introduced in 0.5.0. If you don't, the world will load just fine, but some blocks and items may be swapped due to shifting ID's. (The issue was that worlds were no longer saving a global block palette, which assists in data conversion)
Additions
- Added a crosshair indicator for valid entwinement locations
- Arrows pointing outward = entwinement source
- Arrows pointing inward = entwinement destination
- Red X = invalid
- Added sound cue for successful entwinement
Changes
- Reworked monster spawning rules
- Spawning is now based on the floor block
- Grass spawns surface forest monsters (zombie, night flyer)
- Dirt & stone spawns underground forest monsters (rock monster, skeleton, wizard)
- Dungeon bricks have an increased spawn rate, and have a chance to spawn monsters when random ticked every 600 ticks
- Spawning is now based on the floor block
- Testing some new leaf textures that make the trees look fluffier
- Entwinement wand now blocks interaction so you don't have to shift + click
- Night flyers now die in sunlight
- Decreased sapling chance from 25% to 10%
- New textures for dungeon stuff
Fixes
- Fixed mob cap, now tracks spawns/removals correctly
- Once there are 20 monsters loaded, no more will spawn
- Re-implemented the global block palette on world save
- Limited player reach to 5.5 meters (to center of the block, its a bit weird)
- Monsters no longer spawn in mid air or in blocks
- (Hopefully) Fixed the database load crash (on my system it seems to only happen 10% of the time, so hard to test if truly fixed)
- Fixed screenshots not including ui and having transparency issues
- Fixed not being able to open a door while standing within the space the door occupies
- No longer have infinite reach when attacking enemies
- Can no longer attack enemies through walls
- Harder (but still possible) to place blocks inside head or in legs
- Forest pickaxe now has a texture for the held item model
- Noclip can no longer be toggled in menus (like the chat menu)
